The annual Music Festival for the Angels is coming up this month! This event is one I enjoy and I encourage everyone else to attend – tourists and residents alike.
The Music Festival supports two local charities that do really great work in Roatan. Supporting our local community and enjoying a fun day of music outdoors…what could be better?
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 14th from 2pm- 9pm. I hope to see you out there having a great time and helping our wonderful community at the same time!
Support Local Charities in Roatan
The Music Festival for the Angels supports two charities: SOL Foundation and Clinica Esperanza. SOL Foundation’s mission is to initiate and support community-based programs designed to promote education and to increase the quality of life in developing areas. They use grants and donated funds for community education, arts programs, athletics programs, and much more.
Clinica Esperanza, or Nurse Peggy’s Clinic, is located in Sandy Bay near Anthony’s Key Resort. The clinic offers low- or no-cost healthcare to the island’s population to ensure that our whole community receives the necessary attention. They provide a walk-in medical clinic, women’s health center, pediatrics inpatient hospital, adult and pediatrics dental clinics, an on-site laboratory, and a pharmacy.
Music Festival for the Angels in Roatan
The Music Festival for the Angels has been a beloved annual event for years now! We all get together on the lawn at Lawson Rock in Sandy Bay to listen to hours of live music from local and visiting musicians.
There are lots of food tents, plenty of drinks, and throughout the earlier hours in the day there are activities for the kids especially. The community in Roatan is truly outstanding – I hope you’ll come see for yourself!
Tickets for adults are $20, kids are $5, and kids under 6 go free. There are shuttles available from West End Circle and from West Bay Mall to help you travel safely – please don’t drink and drive.
Come whenever you want, stay for as long as you can, and enjoy yet another fantastic community event here in Roatan. If you’re considering moving here to become an expat, these are the types of gatherings that will make you proud to be part of such a welcoming community.
Keep an eye on this Facebook event page for details and announcements for this year’s event. You can purchase your tickets in advance from a few local vendors, or purchase at the door.
If you can’t make it this year, be sure to Like the regular Facebook page so you can mark your calendar for next year. The event is always in March, so plan your visit accordingly!
Don’t forget to bring extra cash with you for food, drinks, and other donations!
